Why do so many people wear tacky Jesus T-shirts to amusement parks?

Jill Thomer: Sometimes people wear those 2 epress their religion and sometimes its just a shirt people throw on cuz they rn't really going anywhwere.

Georgia Dees: Well they have every right to. I am gay and I like to enjoy the same rights that the Christians do. I like being able to display my own personal lifestyle in public too! The main difference is that I don't go out and actively campaign against them! I don't protest their Christian nights (even though they protest any sort of gay day or event).I respect their rights as human beings and hope that they respect mine... in the end their t-shirts do not matter they are just being themselves....Show more

Jonathan Schlussel: They usually wear these shirts everywhere. I think they're kinda neat. Lots of imagination in them.Also, many amusement park have Christian theme days or give discounts to church youth groups. So, you're seeing a lot of them in one contained space.

Kim Gerbino: People who feel very strongly in their religion like the shirts, and like to show off that they are proud to be Christian.Personally, I think it's unnecessary. If they saw someone wearing an "I Love Darwinism" "I Love Allah" or "I Love Mohammad" shirt, they'd probably be offended or make fun of them.

Cherry Stampka: People wear all kinds of shirts to amusement parks, what is the big deal about those that are religious in nature? People who wear Christian t-shirts most likely wear them everywhere they go as a way of proudly displaying their beliefs and sharing them without getting in someone's face.

Serena Doak: yah my answer is pretty much the same as what everyone else said..... people just wear those shirts to express their religious beliefs. they make then "tacky" as you call it because it is more creative and they are shirts that more people are likely t! o remember which is one of theirgoals.

Norma Marsalis: A! lot of people, like myself, like to show that they are a Christian. Some may think this to be annoying and to serve no good purpose, but that is not the case at all. In today's society, people will often come up to you and start dropping F-bombs and many other choice words when they don't even know you. If they see right off the bat that you are a Christian and that you proclaim it openly, it may change they way others behave around you.
