Carter Edstrom: Fat Pat, Hawk, Big Pokey, Pimp C, Dj Screw, mane its so many. H- town you know!!!
Brice Greczkowski: Well, I've been hearing all these people in school talking about "Base Rap". Honestly, everyone made fun of it and laughed at it except one kid, who actually listens to it. I've heard a few songs from artist such as "Lil B (Based God)" and "Yung God". I dont see how its any different from rappers now days like Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Jay Z ect. To me, its no different than regular rap except for bad production quality. Moving on, What exactly is it? Is it supposed to make fun of "Mainstream" rap, or is it something different? My first impression...I listened to "Dexters Lab" by "Yung God". I thought it was hilarious!Do you think its the future? Do you listen to it? If so...Give me some more big names that I could try listening to....Show more

Antonia Boomershine: so many tears
Reyes Brunell: tl;drIf you don't like other peo! ples opinions or how people act in this section then leave the! section..Ok, I'll give a better answer. Most of us are trolling. We're tired of mindless Eminem Stans that fill this section spewing garbage. Most of the Eminem Stans couldn't name 15 other rappers, that's our problems, his fans, not Eminem. I acknowledge Eminem is a good lyricist, he has arguably the GOAT rhyme schemes and fantastic rhyme density. That's it though, he's incredibly one dimensional and very direct in the way his rhymes are written, none of them make you think. He lacks punchlines, metaphors, similes, double and triple entendres, his wordplay is weak too (compared to great emcees). When he does incorporate those things, like in Recovery, it's absolutely awful and you see why he didn't before, because he's just not that clever. He's a good rapper, but he IS overrated. I'll give no credit for his delivery or flow, because it's awful now and when it was good, it was basically a direct bite of Masta Ace's flow and delivery. His discography is a mixed bag, overal! l it's mediocre. His lyrical content is never anything that I'm truly interested in. Also, he's just not a rapper I enjoy, really. Not any of his albums can I listen to more than half to. He's a good rapper, but he is overrated and at the end of the day I don't enjoy him."Whenever I read a question along the lines of who's the best rapper and someone says Eminem, the answer always gets a whole bunch of thumbs down (even if they give good reasons)."^^^ I've never, ever seen anyone on one of those best rapper questions give a good reason for why Eminem is the best." "Recovery" is a very meaningful album, it has great lyrics, it's catchy, and it has great flow (I know a lot of people disagree with that one). A lot of people criticize that album for being too serious, but I don't think it would have fit with the whole mood of the album if he did a song like "The Real Slim Shady" on it or something. Also, "W.T. P" isn't a serious song."^^^ that album is not meaningful at all. He! uses the least amount of multis in his career, the rhyme density is med! iocre, catchiness == good, his flow isn't actually terrible but his delivery is. It isn't serious at all. HOW COULD ANYONE THINK IT'S SERIOUS?! "I'll kick a b*tch in the c*nt till it makes her q*eef like a f*ckin whoopee cushion" ^ THAT'S NOT SERIOUS THERE ARE CORNY PUNCHLINES LIKE THAT THROUGHOUT THE ALBUM....Show more
Zora Mazzie: i dont want to read that all...but hes "overhated" because hes overrated, were just trying to level it out
Cordia Fivecoat: no one brings the kind of passion, flow, and lyrics eminem brings..he has so many verses that are all fire..people connect with eminem because he says the things we are afraid to say to the public with excellent wordplay and he makes millions off of it..we hate him because he saved rap and that's why he is the greatest of all time..
Oscar Wieland: I don't knowBut my favorite is "So many tearz"
Byron Fortmann: http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://cdn.nah...
Omar Phipps: Yeahhh, I don't fee! l like reading all of that. But Recovery is not a good album. It's just him shouting with that horrible delivery, and saying the stupidest, most elementary punchlines I've ever heard from an "elite" rapper. Is he overhated here? Yes. But I far and away prefer the overhating to the blatant d*ckriding that happens everywhere else on the face of the planet.
Bettye Arre: I miss Eazy E the most. But why leave out MC Breed (Flint, MI) or Rappin' Ron (Oakland)?
Oda Mauson: @Mic Messiah: Nah, I like this section. I mostly just lurk around here. This was just an observation I made, and I wanted to share it. =)
Frederic Engellant: Left Eye, A female rapper! I miss you girl.
Terresa Tsasie: It's BASED rap, not base. It's not different than rappers of today to you? Their lyrics are atrocious on purpose, it's kind of poking fun at mainstream hip-hop for fun. If you seriously think Lil B's lyrics (on his based songs) are as good as Jay-Z or Kanye, you seriously nee! d help. The production's never BAD, just different. It was coined by Lil! B and he did it to show that people would listen to his retarded songs more than his serious ones. Well, they did; by a LONG shot. Is it the future? Lol, no. It's just another sub-genre of rap that's not really a sub-genre. Just bad rapping on purpose, sort of like comedy rap.I do listen to Lil B's based stuff. And for other big names.. Ehh Kreayshawn & V-Nasty do some stuff kind of similar. Also, Soulja Boy's newest stuff is definitely based influenced. Listen to 30 Thousand 100 Million by Soulja Boy ft. Lil B...Show more

Pei Heatherly: Big Pokey isn't dead.
