What Do You Think Of Special Education Programs At School?

Davida Gisriel: I'm in special ed to for wearing hearing aids, having dyscalculia and having a "slow processing speed" also known as not the brightest bulb haha!Well they seem okay to me except they are way more fun than other classes haha!

Brenton Cornwall: The program in my school seems like a good one. My friend has a sister who has Downs Syndrome and she is in it. She is always having fun in school. I think they have the same lunch as kids who aren't in the program but they have gym together and their lockers are together. They all seem like happy kids.

Maynard Reevers: Well there's two different kind of special ed. There is learning support and emotional support. The learning support at most schools in my area are always good. BUT the emotional support (what i was in) doesn't usually help. Emotional support is very difficult to suit their individual needs. For example, i was in a class because i have anxiety issues, i was with people who have anger is! sues. When they got angry and freaked out, the teacher would go to them and try and calm them. But when i was too afraid to go to a regular classroom, they let it slide and never really attempted to challenge me, and force me to do things i don't want to do....Show more

Deangelo Marchak: a waste of time at a public school. why can't they just make a seperate school for themselves so they can hire better teachers? and kids make fun of them alot. :/

Cecil Derenzi: using fact in bible verses Matthew 7:12 it states "So in each little thing, do to others what you could have them do to you, for this sums up the regulation and the Prophets" and Luke 6:31 it states " Do to others as you could have them do to you." by employing not having a particular training application applied in this college, they're denying the disabled a top to a equivalent training, and hence they're treating the disabled in any different case. Is it using fact this church perspectives the disable! d as "A waste of time and cash"? possibly, and if it relativel! y is the case the church is going completely against what the bible states approximately treating others the comparable way they like to be taken care of....Show more

Iris Shawcroft: In my school, the special education kids take some courses with the regular kids, and some with each other. i think that's good, because they shouldn't be separated for everything.

Cassey Hollinghurst: The one in mine isn't very good , the teachers really don't know how to teach those kids. But I can't speak for other schools!

Lana Uliano: They suck. They treat you like an alien.

David Boehler: well we don't really have one in my school. But the students who are in Special Education are in a special class that normal students do not get (like say we get a language, these people get something different..)Also, they get extra time on tests. That's all I know about it though...Show more
