Verena Koop: I became vegan from vegetarian from pesco vegetarian. I wish I had done it years ago the vegan life style, I am finding it so easy although trying to talk to others about it is the hard thing. It is going to become my way of life. Binning dairy was the last step for me really as I stopped wearing leather years ago. What animals, birds, fish go through is beyond belief Quite interested in raw vegan but need to know more, Don t really understand whether food can be cooked or not....Show more
Marcia Cheathan: Every time I eat pork anything I get these very bad and intense headaches for the next 3 to 5 days after consuming the pork. I have always heard older people saying how the can't or don't e! at pork, but I just thought it was because of the high fat content or just because their Dr. suggested they don't eat it. Well I am 34 years old and I have vowed to myself that I will never touch another piece of pork. Does anyone else have similar conplications after eating pork.
Joeann Hoyt: I would also recommend adding in some protein. Your body needs it and it'll help keep you full longer.Nuts, beans, or soy would all be good choices to add.
Minh Lefrancois: You shouldn't let it affect your relationships but many others will inadvertently because they think you are the strange one, and you just have to accept that.I know the first reaction is to defend your choice, and that can easily lead to hostility, so it is best to just be firm and say its your choice and try to talk about another subject.Dune
Raul Lushbaugh: Veganism is taking this weird turn for weight loss, I'm not sure why it's happening. Too many copies of "Skinny *****" floating around per! haps? In any case, it's not just a diet, it's a lifestyle. ! If you want to become vegan, great, good for you. You will most definitely lose weight because you are cutting a good amount of fat from your diet. We vegans cook our food, raw vegans on the other hand, do not. Raw diets can be good for you but it's sometimes hard on the system due to fibrous veggies and fruits. If you are going to try to go raw, I would suggest steaming your veggies at least a little bit before eating them. Good luck to you!...Show more

Patricia Bolduc: They all sound great and it's healthy, but you could make some kind of meatfree sandwich to help fill yourself up.
Tyree Allenbrand: yeah!! just perfect.. just make sure the juice will be fresher.
Pam Rampadarat: If you want to be vegan, you must abstain from ANY animal products. A lot of processed food has some sort of animal protein. Could be gelatin, honey and things you wouldn't even think of. The bread is probably a no go. Ezekiel bread, I believe is vega! n. Any other bread that is processed is probably not. Juice boxes, hmmm....check to see what percentage is actual juice. Rather get a container and fill it with 100% juice products, or get soy milk. I see no protein here, and as a teen, it is imperative to have a great deal to help you be healthy. How about an edamame salad, or 3 bean salad ( available in cans ) Go to your local health food store, or organic store to see and read labels. You might want to include hummus, but again, check the label....Show more
Pasquale Pollet: Bring some hummus to put on that bread, and that will make your meal more balanced!Or perhaps some trail mix or nuts. :)

Dick Ovdenk: Raw Vegan Definition
Barrett! Alosa: Well isn't that obvious??? A vegan can cook the foods they eat ! but raw vegans eat there food raw. I mean if your aiming to lose weight either would work in losing weight just make sure you eat enough so that when you go back to eating what ever it is that you eat you don't gain all your weight back!
Randolph Lozoya: Unless you've been hiding under a rock for the last couple years, I'm sure you've heard of the Paleo Diet. Read here https://tr.im/igE58 I hate to even call it a diet, because it's really just the real way that humans have eaten for almost 1.9 Million years, as opposed to the modern-day processed food diet full of grains, sugars, and processed vegetable oils.
Dalia Causby: I get the feeling that when I tell people I am a vegan a certain wall comes up. I feel weird even talking about it. Especially when I go to social gatherings and I have to politely decline what they serve. Is there a gentler way to go about things? Something feels so WARM and inviting about eating meals together.
Jorge Gerrero: Yes,! I had very similar things whilst eating red meat. I'm not sure what did it, the blood or thought it was an animal or the taste but after eating it for dinner I would be paranoid all night, couldn't sleep and keep myself awake by being sick. It was one of the worst times ever but also the best because it drove me to become vegetarian and its made me so much healthier (mentally and physically) and made me more aware and appreciative of animals and nature :)
Faviola Dewire: A raw vegan only eats raw foods. I've heard that it's a great way to lose weight. I never transitioned from vegetarian to vegan; I just went vegan full-force. You should definitely make the transition. Dairy cows and egg-laying hens have it ten times worse than the animals slaughtered for their flesh. Watch Earthlings and you'll see it.
Peggy Sandefer: You should ask your mum to make you salad sandwiches, they'll fill you up and they're good for you.
Hong Hunkin: Most wheat bread has hone! y in it. Check the label. Honey isn't vegan. In terms of nutrition you ! need some protein. Bring along some almonds or cashews. Everything else sounds good. And congrats on trying to do something good for yourself, the animals, and the environment! You'll get there.
Marco Stolarz: I don't believe your problem is the same as Georgie's. He appears to be a vegetarian or close to one and has an aversion to eating any red meat.If you are eating pork like pernil or spare ribs, it could certainly be the fat. If you are eating processed pork products like hot dogs or sausage, it is more likely the additives and preservatives. If you mean pork loin and chops, now a days, at least in the USA, those cuts are so lean that they are usually dry and almost tasteless, so that shouldn't effect., but I am not a doctor. There could something in pork that causes the headaches. Speak to your doctor and have him test for allergies....Show more
Leticia Laiben: If you hang with such a diverse lot then you all must already accept each others' differen! ces and this is great! Don't let your personal religious choices and slants interfere with the way you interact with your mates. Why don't you suggest to them one day to go somewhere different (where there is something on the menu that you could order). I'm sure that with such a varied lot then you all must be very open-minded and therefore they would probably love the opportunity to try something different.
Mandy Mustaro: Have you tried Eating for Energy (120 raw food diet recipes) method? Get right here : http://StayEatingRaw.com/DIY . This could certainly assist person!
Marya Fehn: Nope. You need some protein in there if you want it to be healthier. Try putting some type of nut butter on the bread or eating a serving of beans.
Todd Stogner: I doubt anyone here has similar complication as most are vegetarians/vegans, you are in the wrong category try asking in the other sections or better still stop eating meat and you will be much healthier.
Mit! suko Manne: Niether is a "diet" (as in weight-loss plan.) To lose weig! ht, simply burn more calories than you consume.Vegan means you don't eat, use, wear, purchase or otherwise consume anything of animal origin. Vegans eat fruits, vegetables, legumes, grains, nuts, seeds, herbs, spices, fungi like mushrooms and yeast, oils, and everything made from them. Vegans cook and bake, like most people do.Raw vegans also eat only plant foods, but raw. Nothing is heated over (I believe) 118 degrees under the belief that heat destroys beneficial enzymes....Show more

Devon Kalberer: Diet Ethics evolves in-line with intellectual & spiritual status of individuals :Paleolithic dietCarnivorous / CannibalismOmnivorous dietVegetarian**Vegan****Raw Vegan**Fruitarian / SproutarianBreatharianVEGANISM---------------------------------------------- Veganism is a lifestyle that seeks ! to exclude the use of animals for food, clothing, or any other purpose. Vegans endeavor not to use or consume animal products of any kind. The most common reasons for becoming a vegan are ethical commitment or moral convictions concerning animal rights, the environment, human health, and spiritual or religious concerns. Of particular concern are the practices involved in factory farming and animal testing, and the intensive use of land and other resources required for animal farming. Vegan diets (sometimes called strict or pure vegetarian diets) are a subset of vegetarian diets, which are credited with lowering the risk of colon cancer, heart attack, high blood cholesterol, high blood pressure, prostate cancer, and stroke.RAW VEGANISM------------------------------------------------------Raw veganism is a diet which combines veganism and raw foodism. It excludes all food of animal origin, and all food cooked above 46 degrees Celsius (115 degrees Fahrenheit). A raw vegan diet! includes raw vegetables and fruits, nuts and nut pastes, grain and leg! ume sprouts, seeds, plant oils, sea vegetables, herbs, and fresh juices. There are many different versions of the diet, including fruitarianism, sproutarianism, etc. Although some advocate a diet of only fruit, or only vegetables, generally it is agreed that a well balanced raw vegan diet, containing moderate amounts of all of the above foods, is the best for good health. Sometimes the definition of a raw vegan diet is loosened to include vegan diets with at least 75% raw foods....Show more
