Would it be best to take a philosophy class or humanities class?

Lady Laflin: Humanities is not a subject, it is a category of subjects. The classes might be art, history, music appreciation, and like that. Philosophy is mostly memorizing words that refer to this or that student's works, and are rarely used in any other context. Your success in philosophy mainly depends on being able to juggle these words, not on saying anything that relates to reality. No choice is going to be a useful class, although any of them might be quite interesting. If it hadn't been for my humanities class I never would have gone to an art museum or a live play....Show more

Kenneth Blacker: If you like ponder, and think about life, death and everything in between at a deep scale. Take philosophy.

Clement Viscarro: ....Better go for humanities .....The humanities are academic disciplines that study the human condition, using methods that are primarily analytical, critical, or speculative, as distinguished from the mainly empirical approaches of the! natural sciences......Show more

Jon Bergmeier: humanities cover philosophy, music, theater, literature, etc. philosophy just covers philosophy. which sounds more interesting to you?
