Billie Bratchett: It totally destroys self-eestem! I mean many girls go into these things and view other ladies beauty and begins to figure out who is prettier then her and why, She may see a girl who is a bit skinner and begin to try to loose wait. She will think that make up is her new friend and that she is ugly with out it. So i think its a total destroyer!
Daren Ventrice: i think both if u lose than u dont feel like u r pretty enough but if u come in like 1,2,3,4 than u feel more confident

Jorge Detlefs: Beauty pageant build self-confidence. You have to have a healthy view of yourself going into them or it will hurt though. I have competed in many pageants....lots of them I win and I feel really good. If I dont win, I try to figure out what I did wrong or what those judges didnt like..its not about you having flaws but more what that particular set of judge! s is looking for in a winner. Beauty is important, but really more important is how you carry yourself. You have to walk with confidence so the judges can see that you view yourself as a winner..You have to believe in your own self before you can convince them to believe in you. :0)...Show more
Ramon Dahlheimer: Definatly destroys self esteem me and my friend did one and i came in 2nd and shes didnt even place and she just gave up on her self and never talked 2 me since (it was in 6th grade and im now in 10th)
