Should there be stronger deterants to crime ?

answers 0:Would you support the idea that violent offenses should be met with harsh penalties ?answers 1:Hello Lana. I definetely agree to harsher penalties upon sentencing. Our current rehabilitation and corrections programs run by liberals is doing nothing at all to actually rehabilitate an inmate. I am not referring to Consitutional rights of protection against cruel and unusual punishment or medical/dental care, but the priviledges that are being granted today. Inmates have far more rights than the victims ever had and they know every one of them. We no longer have the prison factory workers who were grateful for the end of the day to go back to their cell to rest. And maybe in some of the states this might be different, but not where I am. We are forcing rehabilitation on people who have no interest in it and it just wont work. In that same process, to do this! , we are forced to use a "kindler, gentler" philosophy. Kindness is mistaken for weakness with this particular segment of society. Violence and assaults on staff are increasing daily and we are told we are not responding to the needs of the inmates and are forcing them to be violent with us. Unfortunately, we are having policy and procedure being dictated by college graduates who never walked a block in their life and are using models studied in college as a guideline. I hope this helps to answer some thoughts for you....answers 2:I think there should be a federal 3 strikes and your an instant organ donor program.answers 3:Curtis - You cracked me up.
